Advance Homes is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect your personal information in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. It covers this website and any enquiry you send us through it.

What information we collect

Information you give us. When you send an enquiry through our website, we collect:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your phone number
• Any details you choose to share about your project, such as the home or design you're interested in, your budget range or your timeline

If you use our build calculator, or enquire about a particular home for sale, the details you picked there (such as your budget range or the home's address) are sent along with your enquiry so we can help you faster.

We don't ask for sensitive information such as health details or bank account numbers through our website.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Respond to your enquiry and talk with you about your build
• Prepare the information, pricing or quote you've asked for
• Keep in touch with you about your project
• Understand how people use our website and how well our advertising works, so we can improve both

We won't use your details for anything unrelated to these purposes without asking you first.

Who we share it with

We don't sell or rent your personal information. It's used only by the Advance Homes team, for the purposes above.

To run our website and receive your enquiry, we use a small number of service providers who handle information on our behalf:

• Vercel, which hosts our website and securely stores the enquiries sent through it
• Resend, which delivers enquiry emails to our team

Some of these providers are based overseas, including in the United States, so your information may be stored or processed outside New Zealand. We only use established providers with strong security practices.

We may also disclose information if the law requires us to.

Keeping your information secure

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Our website only runs over a secure (HTTPS) connection, and enquiries are kept in private, access-controlled storage that only the Advance Homes team can reach.

Cookies and website analytics

Our website uses:

• Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page visits and measures how fast our pages load, without cookies and without identifying you
• Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram), which uses cookies to measure how our ads perform and to show our ads to people who have visited our website. Meta handles this information under its own privacy policy.

We may also use Google Analytics and Google Ads to measure website visits and the enquiries that come from our ads. Google handles this information under its own privacy policy.

When you send an enquiry, we record that an enquiry was made, but not your name or contact details, so we can see which pages and ads lead to enquiries.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and manage the ads you see in your Facebook and Google account settings. Our website still works without cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep your personal information only for as long as we need it to respond to your enquiry, provide our services, or meet our legal obligations. You can ask us to delete your details at any time.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you have the right to:

• Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct it if it's wrong or out of date

You can also ask us to delete your personal information from our records. To make any of these requests, contact us using the details at the bottom of this page.

If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, please talk to us first so we can put it right. You can also make a complaint to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in how we work or in the law. The latest version will always be on this page, along with the date it took effect.
